About Alex
“You can’t always control what happens in life, but you can control how you respond to those challenges.” is the motto Alex has lived by since losing her dad to suicide at the age of sixteen. She began sharing her story publicly only five months later and has since spoken to over 16,000 people across the country about suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Additionally, Alex serves on the Board of Directors for NAMI Mississippi (The National Alliance on Mental Illness), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization.
